New DC and Author Dashboards

Launched in December: New editions of the Digital Commons Dashboard and the Author Dashboard for DC repositories and journals. These have been added alongside the classic dashboards as part of a gradual transition to the redesigned interfaces. New Accessibility Hub

Launched in July: A new Accessibility Hub in our help center. We added the Accessibility Hub to condense information and resources for the Digital Commons community. The hub will serve to streamline future communications about accessibility updates and additional remediations included on our roadmap.

Multiple accessibility updates. Session time limits have been extended to at least 24 hours for IR logins. Plus, improvements to the Follow Management page, Research Alerts page, Manage Submissions page, the DC logo on the video Transcoding Status page. SAML service provider (SP) metadata now provided via URL and Okta support added. Streamlined external authentication setup with SAML and expanded SAML identity provider options.

Sidebar search accessibility improvement. Made the sidebar search context menu label visible and accessible to all users.

May 2025

OpenAthens support added for SAML. More identity provider options when setting up SAML external authentication.

February 2025

SAML support. External authentication support expanded to include SAML with Entra ID.

January 2025

Security improvements. Upgrades to expand prevention against common vulnerabilities.
